A miniature Rainbow Dash sculpture I worked on last night. She is 1.5 inches tall from ear tip to front hoof. I had not sculpted since May and felt the drive to make something. Hope you like! Critiques are welcome as I know I still have a ways to go with clay work, advice is always welcome.
This is a beautiful piece of work, and I see a great sculpture and a great artist, but perhaps (okay, if i offend you in any way, im sorry. first time writing a critique) you could have made the forehead slightly larger to bring out the look and style of the mane more. If you are aiming for show style, you can start putting you ears more on the sides of the head. the mane is kind of flat looking, and if it was more poofed it would look greatly similar to the actual rainbow dash. you could make the tail smoother so it is not as shaggy, and in my opinion the wings should be a bit smaller. Now, once again, sorry if you are offended, but this is stuff to take into consideration and become a better artist as you go along.
This is pretty awesome! Making miniature figures must be tricky getting all the little details correct and such! I aim myself to create parts for Gundams sometime so would be interesting to know how you approached making this superb model! Very nice detailing and layering with the hair. Hope to see it completed
Looks like the beginnings of a my little pony. I like the sculpture and the pose of the horse. I think once its colored it could be one of your greatest creations
